Privacy Policy: Music & Guitar Practice Looper

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Music & Guitar Practice Looper (“the extension”) is a Chrome extension that lets you loop sections of a song, slow it down, and use a count-in and metronome while you practise.

In short: the extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data or user data. Everything stays on your device.

Data the extension stores

The extension saves the following on your device only, using Chrome’s extension storage (chrome.storage.local):

Songs are identified by the track title reported by the site, or by the page address if no title is available. This information is used only so your loops and settings are remembered the next time you play the same song. It is never sent anywhere.

You can remove all of this data at any time by uninstalling the extension.

Access to web pages

The extension runs on web pages so it can find audio and video players and add its practice panel to them. It only works with the player’s playback controls and audio. Audio is analysed locally in your browser to estimate tempo. No audio, page content, or browsing activity is recorded, uploaded, or shared.

You can turn the extension off for any site using the x button in the panel or the toolbar icon.
